A Sad Farewell to the Fabulous Sheveron

“You are a great champion. When you ran, the ground shook, the sky opened and mere mortals parted. Parted the way to victory, where you’ll meet me in the winner’s circle, where I’ll put a blanket of flowers on your back.”

Heaven gained an angel December 2nd, 2017. At 27 years young Sandy’s beloved homebred Sheveron crossed the rainbow bridge filled with rolling hills and lush, green grass. Sheveron was an incredibly special horse and a proven champion earning the 2008 USDF Region 2 Grand Prix Freestyle Championship and Sandy her gold medal. Aside from the blue ribbons and victory laps, Sheveron touched the lives of each person who looked into his deep brown, gentle eyes. His forgiving personality allowed many riders to be able to learn from him both in and out of the saddle. Even in his final years, Sheveron’s personality shined; prancing and running across the fields. There will never be another one like you Shevy. It is with heavy hearts and the utmost gratitude that we have to say finally goodbye.
