Lauren Sprieser Returns! May 13 & 14, 2017 – POSTPONED

laurenLauren Sprieser is a USDF Gold, Silver and Bronze Medalist and professional dressage rider. Her enthusiasm and wit has made her a popular trainer, with students from the grassroots to the international levels in both dressage and eventing. She’s also an acclaimed blogger for the Chronicle of the Horse, and writes regularly for Dressage Today.

After spending her youth with lessons on horses at local riding stables, Lauren’s first foray into international-level dressage came with Bellinger, a lanky and tricky Trakehner gelding. Lendon Gray was Lauren’s first world-class trainer, and helped foster a tremendous partnership between Lauren and “Billy,” which led to Team Bronze at the 2003 NAYRC, and then open Grand Prix competition while still a Young Rider.

Lauren and the Holsteiner gelding L’Etoile 6 earned both Team Gold at the 2005 NAYRC and an incredible opportunity – the chance to train in Germany with Olympic Gold Medalist Monica Theodorescu and her Olympian father, Georg. Upon graduating from college, Lauren spent a year as a working student for several exceptional trainers, including Olympic Bronze Medalist Carol Lavell, before setting up her own business in Marshall, Virginia in the fall of 2007. Lauren quickly established herself as a top trainer of riders from green to Grand Prix across several disciplines, and she also has become well-known for producing FEI horses.

“Lauren possesses an uncommon combination of qualities which are rarely seen in trainers in the US dressage world: she has the skills to make horses up the levels from green to Grand Prix, as well as teach professional, amateur and junior riders alike. Her passion for riding at the upper levels mirrors her passion for teaching, and her students are the better for it.” – MICHAEL BARISONE, US OLYMPIC TEAM 2008
