Year End Awards

Congratulations to Southview Farm’s riders on earning a multitude of year end awards following the 2017 show season!

At the Midwest Dressage Association banquet was last weekend, Amy Hanney and Cheri Lynn Rose CEH earned AA Introductory Champion. In the AA Training Level division, Sandy’s students were four out of the top six placings, with Amy and Cheri Lynn Rose CEH in sixth, Jessica and Anastasia of KHA in fifth, Lisa and Leonardo B in fourth, while Ingrid and No One Better took Champion. Addison and Flying Dutchman also took home Champion for the Jr/YR Training Level Division. Capping off the night, Ingrid and No One Better won the Vi Hopkins Trophy, which is presented annually to the Adult Amateur Training Level rider with the highest average percentage at recognized competition.

At the national level, Southview riders also earned a number of USDF Awards! In All Breed Awards, Ingrid and No One Better finished 6th for Adult Amateur Training Level for KWPN of North America, Jessica and Anastasia of KHA finished 5th for Adult Amateur Training Level for the American Haflinger Registry, Juliyana and Donnerstolz finished 3rd for Junior/Young Rider Third Level for the American Hanoverian Society and Jill and Celestina HP finished 1st for Third Level Open for the Friesian Sporthorse Association. Additionally, with just one ride, Juliyana and Anastaisa of KHA finished 5th in Young Rider Training Level for the National Dressage Pony Cup. In NDPC’s Small Horse Division, Jill and Celestina was Reserve Champion for Third Level Open. Jill also finished 7th in the Third Level Open Vintage Cup rankings! And last, but far from least, Juliyana and Donnerstolz accepted an invitation to the US Dressage Finals. It was a huge honor for the Young Rider to compete at Nationals in the Open Second Level Musical Freestyle, where they placed ninth!

As the year end awards continue to roll in, we’re again reminded of just how fabulous our 2017 season was. And now we’re busy working hard to make 2018 even better!
